HyperX Logic (HXL) was formed in October 2024 to commercialize the revolutionary and unique SoC microprocessor IP acquired from Coherent Logix (CLX). Since then, HyperX Logic has brought the Midnight family of microprocessors to full commercial readiness, with production units now available to order.
CLX developed a new and unique microprocessor architecture (the “HyperX Architecture”) and software development tools (“HyperX Studio”) that resulted in a rad hard by design SoC system with a market leading SWaP-C profile compared to current leading Space and Terrestrial FPGA chips.
The first significant successful space-related test application was achieved in November 2009 when, in a joint operation with DARPA and NASA, a system with HyperX Architecture components was delivered by the Space Shuttle Atlantis (STS-129) to the International Space Station for testing.
Following this success, and through today, chips based on the HyperX Architecture have continued to be developed and enhanced, with the most recent, the Midnight Processor and its HyperX Studio Software tools, completed in Q2 2025 and available for purchase.
